Marketing
There are many elements involved in the marketing of an employee benefit package, and EBS offers a wide range of services in this area. As with all other aspects of EBS support, the sub-broker determines the level of involvement. Areas of support offered in the marketing function include providing access to the insurance carriers, giving explanation and guidance on products and procedures, obtaining proposals, preparing benefit/cost comparisons or formal presentations, and/or accompanying the sub-broker on the sales call.
- Access to insurance carriers

- Prepare request for proposal/submit to insurance carriers

- Prepare benefit/cost comparison and formal presentations
- Accompany broker on sales calls.
Access to insurance carriers
EBS holds direct contracts with major insurance carriers for medical and ancillary benefits, providing access to a full range of products for the sub-broker.
Communication of insurance carriers guidelines
EBS educates the sub-broker on insurance carrier guidelines, keeping the broker up-to-date on policies, procedures, and available products. A dedicated EBS contact is assigned to the sub-broker for the purpose of explanation and clarification of guidelines.
Analysis of current benefit package
EBS will assist the sub-broker with an analysis of the prospect's existing employee benefit package, reviewing the benefit structure, administration, funding type, and cost. This is a helpful and necessary step in determining areas of improvement.
Prepare request for proposal/submit to insurance carriers
EBS prepares all necessary paperwork required to obtain proposals from the insurance carriers. EBS can "shop" the employee benefit program to ensure that the most competitive proposals are presented to your client.
Analyze proposals
Once proposals are received from the insurance carrier(s) EBS will analysis them to determine which best fit the needs of the particular prospect.
Recommend areas for improvement/cost savings
EBS will assist the sub-broker in determining areas of improvement and cost saving solutions for the prospect's employee benefit plan.
Prepare benefit/cost comparison and formal presentations
EBS will prepare a benefit and cost comparison, which includes data on the current plan alongside the proposed plans. This comparison, used in conjunction with the insurance carriers' proposals, allows for a comprehensive review of the data.
Accompany sub-broker on sales calls
Upon request, an EBS representative will accompany the sub-broker on the sales call.
